Großes polnisches Einkaufszentrum entscheidet sich für die neue Besam RD3L

Besam Poland is installing six units of ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems’ newest high-capacity revolving door in the Port Łódź Shopping Center.

The Port Łódź Shopping Center is a 120,000 square-meter facility that will house 200 retailers including an IKEA store when it opens in the spring of 2010. According to Besam Poland Managing Director Mariola Puchow, IKEA’s presence was a key factor in winning the revolving door contract over two major competitors.

“Our team worked very hard through the spring and early summer to convince the general contractor that the RD3L was a better solution than the revolvers that were specified in the plans,” Mariola explains. “But the situation changed dramatically when IKEA decided to open their store before Christmas. This forced the customer, BC, Budecon, to make an immediate decision about suppliers.”

BC, Budecon recognized the quality and value of the RD3L --  which exceeded IKEA’s demands for diameter and capacity -- as well as Besam Poland’s ability to deliver the doors on time and provide world-class service and maintenance after installation.
